I saw this on ([link])'s journal

◆Your name?
Annalyn Donaldson

◆If possible, your age?
16

◆When did you start drawing?
when I was... 4 (I mean... doesn't almost everyone like to colour and draw when they are young?)

◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right... I'll start trying with my Left though

◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
I mostly draw females so I guess they are easier to draw because they can look like guys sometimes. I guess I can draw girly guys. But when I draw guys I can draw the body but not the face. I have to practice that.

◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I can draw short and long hair if it's strait or wavy but if it's curly I can't do that. But spiky I can do sometimes.

◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
facing the left

◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
side view because it can be a really simple line. for the frontal view you have to make it symmetrical and sometimes it takes a few minutes to get it that way.

◆What do you have problems in drawing?
hands characters interacting with objects (like sitting on a fluffy couch or leaning on something)

◆What do you like to draw?
people... furrues... close up of eyes

◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
traditional but I like using a tablet when I can

◆Where do you start drawing from?
the head and I usually end with the face or with the creases on the clothes

◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
If I start something and put it down I usually won't finish it for a loooooooong time afterwards

◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
use fotos for your reference, even if the artist is really amazing. OR if you can get a model that's always really good. or even better.

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
I depends how big it is. If it's a face (a bust or something) with colours maybe around 1-2 hrs. If it's something that's really detailed and coloured, a couple of days...

◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
I like watching T.V. when I draw because I get inspiration sometimes from it. But music, I'll listen to any kind.

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
It's not really like I'm trying to come up with one constantly, It just comes when it does. When I've started something then I start thinking of what to do to it on my spare time.

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Ticonderoga pencils. the yellow ones with the green aluminum near the erasers

◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
black.
not really one colour. It's more like the colours I have I use.
In the beginning I only used violet, blue, pink, yellow and green (those were the only colours I had on hand)

◆Your favorite style(s)?
Cartoonish the stuff you see in anime and manga though. But I'm trying out all different types... even if it might not look that way.

◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
a great artist? I dunno (what type of question is that?)
